My Story
Disregard the dirt on my face — personal development and professional growth are hard work.
On the surface, I’m an entrepreneur leading a successful marketing agency. But beneath the outward portrayal is someone who’s battled with not feeling like enough her whole life. Despite success in pageantry, academics and business throughout my life, I’ve always craved more. More success. More achievement. More attention.
Turns out, the thing I needed more of was self-compassion. Because I was doing the best I could. I was trying my hardest. Once I started being kinder to myself, all of the connections in my life grew stronger and more meaningful. I came to this realization with the help of coaches, mentors and consultants, illustrating an important point: We all need help.
My confidence started to grow, and eventually, I found the real me again. The one who had been hiding since I was a little girl. The one who wasn’t broken and could fill her own cup. The one who saw herself as deeply human and whole from the very start.
It wasn’t an easy road. But by remaining committed to the journey, I’m more fulfilled than ever. And I want to help others feel the same way.
My Superpower
Each of us possesses a unique superpower. It doesn’t mean you wear a cape or mask; it means you have something inside you that wields a profound impact on the world and people around you.
As a human flywheel, I pull thoughts and ideas from people to create momentum and push, push, push them through life’s toughest barriers to achieve amazing things.
I’ve relied on my superpower to get me through hard times. Like when I lost my home in 2013 to the devastating Washington tornado. Or when I suffered multiple miscarriages trying to start my family. I even had to use my flywheel energy when I bought my business in 2019, as I was unsure if that was even what I wanted for my life.
My superpower has gotten me through so much. I want to use it to help you find yours. And push through whatever crossroads moments or life circumstances you encounter.
My Inspiration
I’m proud of the work I do to grow as a human. It’s not always easy, but it’s necessary. I have people who need me to be at my best. And I’m at my best when I’m treating myself with compassion, reminding myself I’m doing the best I can — the same message I teach my daughters. They’re my whole world, my inspiration. What’s yours?
